William Butler Yeats wrote of “images that yet / fresh images beget.” Art inspired by art is a time-honored tradition. It is the theme of my photographs of sculptures, a collaboration between the seasonal changes of flowers, shrubs and trees, and the aesthetics of three-dimensional forms, created by imaginative artists like Barbara Hepworth, Gerhard Marcks, Anna Mahler and William Zorach. They might all agree with sculptor Isamu Noguchi who said, "Through gardens I came to a deeper awareness of nature and of stone.”
